A Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is used to treat toothaches caused due to an infection of the Tooth Pulp. If the patient is in too much pain, the Endodontist will focus on relieving pain and accessing the infection during the first visit. The cleaning and filling are done during subsequent visits.
• Infection Status: If the patient is diagnosed with severe infection and swelling, the Endodontist should suggest Multiple Visit RCT.
• Temporomandibular Joint Disorders: If the patient is suffering from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, in which case the patient cannot open their mouth for too long, the Endodontist might suggest Multiple Visit RCT.
